Become a speaker at Kulturm\u00f8det in Denmark<\/h3>\n

Apply for a spot on the team, when R\u00f8st moves to Nyk\u00f8bing Mors to facilitate a workshop and participate in Kulturm\u00f8det from August 18th to 22nd 2026.
\nThe programme is for young people aged 18-30 from all the Nordic countries, and participation is free of charge.
\nDeadline for application is May 25th.<\/p>\n

About the festival Kulturm\u00f8det<\/h3>\n

Kulturm\u00f8det in the island Mors is a three-day festival with art, music, talks, and conversations about art and culture. It brings together artists, authorities, opinion leaders, and citizens to assess current topics in the cultural debate and gain knowledge collectively. There will be talks, debates, performances, speeches, and many other types of democratic interaction.

Workshops before Kulturm\u00f8det<\/h3>\n

Before we meet in Denmark we’ll have two online workshops on June 2nd and August 4th. Here you’ll start working on your speech. The first days of your stay in Denmark will also be dedicated to the speech that you will deliver at Kulturm\u00f8det later in the week. We are all staying together in Copenhagen and later in Nyk\u00f8bing Mors.
\nThe workshop language will be English, but you can write and deliver your speech in your national language to celebrate Nordic cooperation and diversity.<\/p>\n

The facilitators Kristian Faurby and Cecilia Jensen from R\u00f8st will assist you throughout the entire process of writing and delivering a speech \u2013 from the initial idea and linguistic work to your body language and the nervousness that may arise when speaking in front of others.
\nKristian and Cecilia are both educated in rhetorics from University of Copenhagen and have helped a lot of young people delivering their messages.<\/p>\n

To be able to get feedback during the workshop, you will need to\u00a0translate your script into English. When you deliver your speech, it will be shown in a\u00a0translated version on screens for the audience to follow.<\/p>\n

During the days, there will also be time to get to know each other, enjoy nature, and have a good time in Mors.<\/p>\n

Speeches and the festival<\/h3>\n

On August 20th Kulturm\u00f8det opens and you and the other speakers will give your speeches on the stages of the festival. You will also participate in a panel discussion on youth and culture in the Nordic region, and you will co-create ‘the people’s speech of culture’ which will be made up of contributions from the guests at the festival.<\/p>\n

And then of course we will participate in the impressive program at Kulturm\u00f8det of talks, debates, concerts, engage in discussions with other young people from the Nordic region and the North Atlantic, and experience the festival.<\/p>\n
